Central Home

Privacy policy

Effective September 7, 2026

Scope

This policy describes how the personal Central Home integration uses data when the owner authorizes access to a Google Nest thermostat.

Data use

The integration may access authorized thermostat state and device information, and may send thermostat commands requested by the owner through the Google Smart Device Management API. This data is used to provide the owner’s personal home-control functionality.

Processing and security

The integration runs on the owner’s private infrastructure. OAuth credentials and access tokens are restricted to backend components. Operational records may be retained as needed to operate, secure, or troubleshoot the integration.

This public information site does not receive or process Nest device data and does not connect visitors to Central Home.

Advertising, sale, and Google services

Nest device data is not sold or used for advertising by this integration. Google processes cloud API and device data under its own policies when providing Google services.

Changes

This page may be updated if the integration’s data practices change.
